What are the soldering processes? Brief Introduction to the Classification of Soldering Machines

2023-10-10

There are various soldering techniques based on the different operation methods: manual soldering, immersion soldering, wave soldering, and reflow soldering.

1. Manual welding relies on manual operation, commonly using electric soldering iron and soldering wire to complete the welding work.

2. Dip soldering refers to immersing the PCB board with inserted components in a molten tin furnace, which can complete the welding of multiple solder joints at once.

3. Wave soldering refers to the method of directly contacting the welding surface of the plug-in board with a high-temperature liquid tin that always maintains a slope, similar to a wave, to achieve welding.

4. Reflow soldering refers to the installation of components on a circuit board, with solder materials on both sides of the components. Air heated to a very high temperature is blown onto the circuit board, and the high-temperature air melts the solder, causing it to adhere to the motherboard, thus achieving welding

Soldering machine classification:

According to function, it can be divided into: fully automatic soldering machine, automatic soldering machine, and semi-automatic soldering machine.

According to the process, it can be divided into: automatic soldering machine, hot air soldering machine, lead-free reflow soldering machine, and laser soldering machine.
